About Good Place Strategy

Good Place Strategy designs evidence-based strategies for social change. We use data, behavioural science literature and landscaping analyses to develop, implement and evaluate impactful change interventions to support global public interest outcomes for people and planet.

Meet our founders

Kate Davies and James Littleton first met in 2008 in Iraq, where they worked alongside each other on peacebuilding and institutional reform: Kate as a research director and James as a social change strategist. Their subsequent careers took them to different parts of the world, and between them they now bring many years of experience of working in the international development sector: in low-income countries, fragile contexts and often with vulnerable populations.

The summer of 2023 found Kate and James both living closer to home, in Bath, England. Following endless discussions about their collective experiences, the hard lessons they have learned about what works and what doesn’t, the issues they care about and the values they share, they decided to set up Good Place Strategy.

Good Place Strategy works with partners to co-develop evidence-based change strategies designed to generate dividends for public and planetary good.
